'The Awkward Moment' Movie Review

First off, lets start this post with Zac Efron's amazing bod.
For all the ladies out there, trust me, this movie is totally worth it because you get to see Zac Efron's amazing bod for like i-can't-even-remember times.

The Awkward Moment (M18)
Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller star in the R-rated comedy about three best friends who find themselves where we have all been—at that confusing moment in every dating relationship when you have to decide “So…Where is this going?”

Jason (Zac Efron) and Daniel (Miles Teller) are living a carefree single life in New York City when their best friend Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) learns his wife wants a divorce. In a show of support, the three longtime buddies promise each other that they will avoid commitment at all costs and stay single together, but their plans are derailed when Mikey starts to surreptitiously date his ex, and Jason and Daniel unexpectedly fall in love. Soon each man finds himself at the most crucial point in a relationship, a moment when “so…” becomes the most terrifying word in the English language.

Written and directed by Tom Gormican (Movie 43), That Awkward Moment is about the vulnerability and embarrassment of navigating modern-day relationships, uniquely told from the point of view of the three guys.
Genre: Comedy
Running Time: 95 minutes
Release Date: 13th Feb 2014

I first decided to catch this movie cause well, Zac Efron's in it. Not that I'm a huge fan of him but dammit, his body is freakkking hot especially after The Lucky One and the synopsis of the show sounds hilarious. 3 guys, saying no to dating, falling in love, having to hide from each other. It all just sounds like a huge big stupid idea that is bound to go wrong.
I have to say though, this movie is super sexually rated. No there's no nudity at all but there are a lot of funny sexual scenes. I had a really good laugh catching The Awkward Moment and I have to say, these 3 actors compensate each other really well. Its as though you're seriously watching 3 best friends, screwing their lives up and its really funny how much pride & ego they have when they're with each other but when in truth, they're all hopeless romantics when they are with the one they love.
I really really like how the romance blossomed for both Jason and Daniel. In a way it was a very expected romance but how the script was written, leading it up to the final stages of a serious relationship was very smooth and natural. Its not some cliche love story of boy meets girl.
This is definitely a good go to movie if you're up for some comedy. I wouldn't even call it a romance comedy because the romance factor is really really low. Its pretty subtle and I like how non cliche it is despite me being a hopeless romantic. Hey, you can't mix comedy and cliche cheesy stuffs together. It doesn't blend well! But Jason's really really sweet in the movie and I'm not going to tell you why cause you will have to catch it for yourself but pssst...who doesn't love a typical bad boy gone good especially when he has such a charming aura aye? ;) I literally went 'AWWW' at the end of the show!

'Endless Love' Movie Review

I'm a major sucker for romance. Nicholas Sparks novels and movies are always such a tear jerker for me and its movies like such I simply adore. As cliche as the story is - never ending love, the one, forever & always, etc etc, i adore how these movies are able to portray love as such an impactful strength and magic and how these stories brings out the best in love - something that this modern world society doesn't seem to have nor understand anymore.

Endless Love (PG 13)
Endless Love stars Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) in the story of a privileged girl and a charismatic boy whose instant desire sparks a love affair made only more reckless by parents trying to keep them apart.
Genre: Romantic Drama
Running Time: 105 minutes
Release Date: 13th Feb 2014

When I first saw the movie poster for Endless Love, I was like oh my god, I totally have to catch this because its definitely one of those epic love stories that every girl dreams of. I caught it on Valentine's Day and although it wasn't a major tear jerker, it was enough to warm my heart. A definite yes to all those love freaks out there.
Indeed it may be a very typical boy meets girl and falls madly in love story, I enjoy how strong the message of the never dying love of a young couple conquers through all madness even after years, is shown in this movie.
There's typical drama of parents thinking that the other half is not good enough for their own child, but I also enjoy the fact on how strongly the parents were a part of this story. Its amazing how the scriptwriters have wrote this movie in such a way where everyone is involved and I'm sorry I can't spill the beans much because it'll spoil everything for you.
I think what I really enjoyed about Endless Love is the fact that it felt very real. Its not that something like that had happened to me or what (I certainly hope it did, who doesn't?!), but how it revolves around 2 average students with typical real life families and friends and real life problems. Complete reality.
Movies such as The Notebook, The Vow, Dear John, etc, you know that it would never happen to you in reality. Or maybe, chances of that happening are slim. I could feel every anxiety and pain the characters were going through in Endless Love and obviously, Alex Pettyfer's character is totally dreamy. But of course with it being a typical Romeo & Juliet love story, this movie may come across as a little cheesy to those who aren't huge romantics.

So if you have yet to catch Endless Love, do catch it in the nearest theatre near you and of course for those who are attached, bring your boyfriends along so they can learn to be dreamy too heh.
"Endless Love means never wanting to let go."
