THE FANTASY PEEK-A-BOO

Let me count how long has it been since I last blogged...7 months. So that means its been 7 months since I last dyed my hair. Not bad isn't it? My Rainbow Peek-a-Boo lasted me well. Okay I would have totally changed my color (and blogged more) but i blame it on work heehee :P

Looks gross, I know. This is what happens when you neglect your hair for 7 months.
So with 7 months gone, I kinda allowed my hair to rest a little so my roots grew out significantly (to me it was significant), and of course the colors were way way WAYYY pastel. I mean its been 7 months guys. I'm surprised there are still colors at all lol.

So the first thing we had to do was of course remove the ugly faded rainbow colors because there is definitely no way to achieve what I want if I don't bleach my ugly colors off.
and tadahhh. I kinda like the pink at the bottom to be honest hahahaha. Charles divided my hair higher this time round to make my new colors more distinct so we're like going higher and higher each time I'm at Headlines because its never obvious enough for me lol. I really should just dye my whole head but I'm pretty convinced that I will scare all my clients away so there's that.

and now for my favorite part heehee.

I get super excited whenever Charles starts coloring my hair because all I see is the dividing of the color and layering of my hair and fancy colors on my hair that is in its raw state. and of course I will see Charles's thinking face so that adds on to the excitement cause you know he's really wrecking his brain to make my hair gorgeous.

The anticipation of how well my hair absorbs the color and how it will turn out never gets old. Like never. This is prolly why I'm so addicted to trying out colors.

So after a loooong dont know how many minutes of hair wash, I still have to wait for my hair to dry before I can see the color (this is like the worst moment) but THANKS GUYS for always giving me the princess treatment of having 3 hairdressers blow my hair for me because I know you guys can't wait to see the colors as well heehee.

AND FOR THE GRAND FINALE!!
*inserts drum rolls*
(I wanna like be annoying and put in alot of dots because you're suppose to be anticipating but I dont know how many dots to put so lets put 3 dots.)

FEATURING: THE FANTASY PEEK-A-BOO.
Why is it Fantasy you say? Because the colors are damn fantasy-ish no?
It consists of 4 special blends - Purple, Blue, Green & Ash. I also dyed my hair darker because when my dark brown fades its gonna fit perfectly. Like it won't be the blonde brown.

Side View
Somehow (I honestly think its cause of my hair), there are like different shades of the respective colors as well which is AWESOME. Here are 2 more pictures for your admiration.

I did this color a month back - 17th January to be exact. Was pretty worried on how it'll fade by the time CNY comes but a month later, I still think the colors are preeetyy and i'm not even being bias. Judge for yourself.

Its not AS striking yes, but thats usual because color tends to fade. You'll also notice that my dark brown has faded into a lighter shade of brown which is the end effect that Charles and I were looking at. So not only did Charles plan the colors, he also looked into the future as well. HEEHEE. THANKS CHARLES. YOU KNOW YOU HAVE MAGICAL HANDS.

Here are a couple more pictures taken after a month:

and with that, I bid you HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR AND HERE'S YOUR ANGPAO:

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR

First off, yay! Happy Lunar New Year to all!
Every CNY makes me crazily tired because of the non stop visitations and this year, I'm even more hectic than usual. Don't ask me why. I have no idea. I've been out almost everyday and I didn't even gamble or whichever! Thank god work only starts on Thursday so I can finally sleep in.
CNY Day 1 is always the busiest of them all. With all the major relatives to visit, by the end of the day I was zoning out. I was stoning on the sofa until my cuzzie came along and we started gossiping about our lives and omg I can't believe he's already 17!? 17 and so much taller than me. What have kids been eating nowadays zzz.
Afterwards, I spent a really lovely time with the bestie's family. We had a really cozy reunion dinner together (idk when was I a part of the family but apparently I am lols). We had like a forever ukulele karaoke session in the room and when we had nothing left to sing or prolly cause we were running out of voice, the bestie hijacked her mum's van and we went off for a late night movie (KINGSMAN WAS SOOOO GOOD OMG).
Then this crazy girl decided to go back to her office to collect her shoes in the middle of 3am ish so I did that with her. So that makes us both cray cray. We used to do this really often when I had my mum's car lols. We'll drive to random places and have our midnight adventures with a whole lot of retarded videos. I really miss doing all these cray things with you <3 NEXT LONG WEEKEND WE DO THIS AGAIN KAY.
CNY Day 2 was a little bit more relaxed. Went for visitations then picked Rowena up to doll up together cause we're heading to Vice at night along with Kiatkeong and Darrek and we got really high. Or just Rowena and I lols. I really think I'm too old to club. I need my sleep hahahaha.
The best time was prolly my CNY Day 3. The mumsie and I headed over to JB for some fireworks fun at my cousin's place (I'm Singaporean mind you. My cousins just stay in Malaysia that's all. JUST SAYING.)
Mini Firecrackers or something.
I've never played with fireworks in my entire life or even be so close to one as a matter of fact. I'M SO GLAD I FINALLY GOT TO DO IT. Another thing checked off my bucket list. IT WAS DEAFENING but fun. Like very fun. I've never ran sooo much since 5 years ago. I mean you would do the same too - light the firecracker and fireworks and RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN BEFORE YOU GET HIT. Not like its of any use anyway because the firecracker & fireworks thingy still hit me even from a super far distance. Stupid. And yah, it hurts too but I would still do this all over again. Its really mesmerising, lighting something and hearing the sound and next thing you know, the fireworks you have lighted are up in the sky. It was great.
But anyhoo, before we got to do all that, I spent almost an hour teaching my mum how to rollerblade. That was something.
I remember telling my mum 'you have to be daring to fall down! Don't be scared.' and she was like 'DO YOU KNOW HOW OLD YOUR MOTHER IS!? IF I FALL DOWN I WILL HAVE TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL.' I literally LOL-ed. Quote of the day guys.
And because my cousins stays in Malaysia, they have all sorts of exotic pets. Like I'm not even kidding and I'm not going to elaborate on what sort of pets they have either but they only pet I was interested in was this adorable little hedgehog. THEY HAVE LIKE 10 OF THEM and omg they hurt so bad lols. They're not cute at all. They're soooo prickly and I'm never ever going to touch one again. I was rubbing my hands for like 5 minutes afterwards :(

Sooo, that pretty much sums up my CNY. Food + Fun + Laughter = Great Memories. annnnnd i'm back to reality tomorrow. I WILL miss you CNY Break.
Will be blogging about my new hair soon anyways so check back like soon. I promise.

TANUKI WITH THE CLIQUEEE

Why hellooo, its only been 2 weeks into the brand new year but somehow, its feeling alot like half a year have flew by. The Christmas craze, then the New Year Craze and now the Chinese New Year craze - I NEED A GETAWAY.
I spent my first weekend of the New Year with the amazing cliqueee. Its a very rare occasion when EVERYONE in the cliqueee are able to make it so imagine my surprise when all of us kept aside the entire Saturday for each other. We've spent more than 12 hours with each other and yet, it still wasn't enough.
We had our brunch at Tanuki where we also celebrated Yuliang's birthday as well.
(yayy happy belated birthday! Congrats to being the first of us to get old.)
The 2 other busiest girls I ever know, besides me.
With a big group of about 9 people, a special thanks to the Tanuki staffs who tolerated with our slow decision making and when we confused our own orders as well as the amazing customer service (especially when we requested to have 9 back to back polaroid shots taken just so everyone of us can get to keep a polaroid lols).

Majority of us ordered different things but the food was amazing. Not sure if its cause we took 15 minutes to take pictures or what but we all shut up when we started eating HAHA. The only thing that I kept hearing was 'Mmmm, soo good.', 'Ehh, can try yours?'
This is my first time at Tanuki actually and I really enjoyed my salmon bowl (its the fourth bowl picture). There were so many different variations of salmon that in full honesty, for a moment, I couldn't decide on which salmon I would want to eat first. I usually save the best for last but I had a tough time deciding which salmon was the best sooo that's a first.

We then had a mini celebration for Yuliang and the Tanuki staffs were nice enough to refrigerate our cake for us and they even provided us with plates and forks for our cakes too. I mean I've been to certain restaurants where you HAVE to buy their cakes and even if you didn't, they wouldn't provide you with dessert cutleries either. I get where they are coming from but I just don't think there is a need to be so rigid.
We spent more than an hour at Tanuki's balcony taking we-fies and making a hell loads of noise (i'm sorry, i think we're horrible too) that i'm actually super surprised that we didn't get thrown out HAHA. So brunch at Tanuki was awesome. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is awesome, the people are awesome too - its definitely a place that I would revisit when I crave for some Japanese food.

The cliqueee then went back to our usual spot of standing in circles to decide on what to do. Apparently, that is our fav past time - standing in circle in the middle of nowhere, to decide what to do. So we ended up playing L4D2 till evening before walking all the way from Dhoby Ghaut to Marina Square to have dinner at Burger King because Yongshan wasn't there to decide on what to eat for us HAHA and we walked from Marina Square to Clarke Quay to chill at Alegro's after.
It was a very tiring day. There were alot of walking involved. Orchard to Dhoby then Dhoby to Marina Square then finally to Clarke Quay. But it was a fun walk with loads of bullshit. What can I say? We've been friends for almost 9 years. Digging up each other's embarrassing moments and crap that we talk about when we were young is what we do.

Oh, and i'm finally doing something about making sure I can get my license before my 22nd Birthday. yay goals! so many goals to achieve, so little time. I can't believe I'm turning 22 this year sighhh.

Overnight Cycling (something I will prolly never do again)

A couple of weeks ago, my secondary school clique and I decided to plan an overnight cycling trip and we were all so excited about it but god...
WORST DECISION EVER.
Please pardon all the super low quality images from here onwards because its night time.
The last time I've ever went for an overnight cycling was prolly 5-6 years ago? So that may be what got me excited cause I was the first person to suggest it and I got super hyped up about it.

Obviously I didn't plan the overnight cycling route because everyone who knows me would know that I'm HORRIBLE with roads. I can get lost anywhere and everywhere that its not even funny. I have no idea how many km we cycled as well but to put it simply our overnight cycling route went like this:
East Coast Park > Changi Village > Pasir Ris Park > Downtown East > Back to East Coast Park (damn crazy i swear)
We started at 10pm in the night and cycled all the way till about 6am the next day and before we started our journey, we had this really cute dinner by cycling to the hawker at East Coast Park, packet all sorts of food we wanted (yay sambal kangkong) and cycled back to the beach to have our dinz.
So once dinner was out of the way, the real cycling 'fun' began after prolly like 10mins because everyone went like 'EHY CAMILLIA YOU CAN ANOT. EHY WE DONT WANT CYCLE BESIDE YOU. EHY CAMILLIA DONT FALL LEH. EHY CAMILLIA DONT JAM BRAKE HOR.' Confidence booster guys, confidence booster. (i did fall in the end anyway cause i decided i was good enough to pick up a phone call while cycling and BAM)

The first stop was to Changi Village to have the famous Changi Village Nasi Lemak where suddenly everyone started complaining 'WAH WE CYCLED 2 HOURS JUST TO EAT THIS NASI LEMAK.' and 'THE NASI LEMAK TODAY LIKE DAMN GOOD AH. ISSIT BECAUSE WE DAMN HUNGRY FROM ALL THE CYCLING.'
And then the real torture began. To cycle constantly from Changi Village all the way to Downtown East was a killer. The amount of uphills omg, CAN DIE. I wanted to just push my bike uphill cause I'm so tired but noooo, everyone says no. They said, keep cycling! Tell that to my thighs. They're not listening. The annoying part is that my bike gears weren't working well either so going uphill was such a pain. You can hear me screaming 'NO MORE UPHILL' for a very long time but yes I did it kay. Perseverance.
By the time we were at Downtown East, everyone was pretty much exhausted. Next time if any of you intend to plan an overnight cycling trip. Please bear in mind to insert more pit stops and food places because at least there will be something to look forward to rather than empty roads. Cycling to Changi Village wasn't even that bad because I knew that the moment I'm there I get to eat Nasi Lemak. But for the rest of the journey omg, there was nothing. There was NO FOOD to look forward to. That may actually be why I got really lethargic in the end. No motivation.

So yep, we had to cycle all the way back to East Coast Park and i think for a moment, all of us wanted to just flag a cab instead but nahhh, we managed to cycle back to East Coast Park again with ALOT OF UPHILL ROADS.

Am I ever going to do this again? PROBABLY NOT. But really guys, overnight cycling is fun and all. You get to catch up with your friends, talk crap, laugh at each other, make jokes & insults while cycling and its prolly one of the best bonding sessions. Just plan more pit stops and food stops really hahaha. It helps, trust me.
All in all, as much as I complain, I didn't regret this activity. The amount of fun and bullshit we had meant so much more and the pain from my thighs, my ass and my hands were worth it. But to the other members of this clique that didn't turn up that day, we have all agreed internally that we're never doing an overnight cycling again. Its way too tiring guys. We have to find something else.
