TANUKI WITH THE CLIQUEEE

Why hellooo, its only been 2 weeks into the brand new year but somehow, its feeling alot like half a year have flew by. The Christmas craze, then the New Year Craze and now the Chinese New Year craze - I NEED A GETAWAY.
I spent my first weekend of the New Year with the amazing cliqueee. Its a very rare occasion when EVERYONE in the cliqueee are able to make it so imagine my surprise when all of us kept aside the entire Saturday for each other. We've spent more than 12 hours with each other and yet, it still wasn't enough.
We had our brunch at Tanuki where we also celebrated Yuliang's birthday as well.
(yayy happy belated birthday! Congrats to being the first of us to get old.)
The 2 other busiest girls I ever know, besides me.
With a big group of about 9 people, a special thanks to the Tanuki staffs who tolerated with our slow decision making and when we confused our own orders as well as the amazing customer service (especially when we requested to have 9 back to back polaroid shots taken just so everyone of us can get to keep a polaroid lols).

Majority of us ordered different things but the food was amazing. Not sure if its cause we took 15 minutes to take pictures or what but we all shut up when we started eating HAHA. The only thing that I kept hearing was 'Mmmm, soo good.', 'Ehh, can try yours?'
This is my first time at Tanuki actually and I really enjoyed my salmon bowl (its the fourth bowl picture). There were so many different variations of salmon that in full honesty, for a moment, I couldn't decide on which salmon I would want to eat first. I usually save the best for last but I had a tough time deciding which salmon was the best sooo that's a first.

We then had a mini celebration for Yuliang and the Tanuki staffs were nice enough to refrigerate our cake for us and they even provided us with plates and forks for our cakes too. I mean I've been to certain restaurants where you HAVE to buy their cakes and even if you didn't, they wouldn't provide you with dessert cutleries either. I get where they are coming from but I just don't think there is a need to be so rigid.
We spent more than an hour at Tanuki's balcony taking we-fies and making a hell loads of noise (i'm sorry, i think we're horrible too) that i'm actually super surprised that we didn't get thrown out HAHA. So brunch at Tanuki was awesome. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is awesome, the people are awesome too - its definitely a place that I would revisit when I crave for some Japanese food.

The cliqueee then went back to our usual spot of standing in circles to decide on what to do. Apparently, that is our fav past time - standing in circle in the middle of nowhere, to decide what to do. So we ended up playing L4D2 till evening before walking all the way from Dhoby Ghaut to Marina Square to have dinner at Burger King because Yongshan wasn't there to decide on what to eat for us HAHA and we walked from Marina Square to Clarke Quay to chill at Alegro's after.
It was a very tiring day. There were alot of walking involved. Orchard to Dhoby then Dhoby to Marina Square then finally to Clarke Quay. But it was a fun walk with loads of bullshit. What can I say? We've been friends for almost 9 years. Digging up each other's embarrassing moments and crap that we talk about when we were young is what we do.

Oh, and i'm finally doing something about making sure I can get my license before my 22nd Birthday. yay goals! so many goals to achieve, so little time. I can't believe I'm turning 22 this year sighhh.
