The BFF's Birthday Countdown

HI GUYS. I'M BLOGGING FROM KL RIGHT NAO AND I KNOW I'VE NOT BEEN BLOGGING OFTEN.
It's like whenever I start blogging, I have to constantly write about 'hi, i'm sorry. i know i've not been updating frequently.' so okay yes thats VERY bad.

The past month had been pretty hectic! I was working in F1 Grand Prix for the entire month of September so that was a pretty intense part time job and now I'm taking a break (again) cause i'm tired like that. It's like no amount of sleep can compensate my sleep debt.

It was Rowena's birthday last month and to me, birthdays are a HUGE deal. Like you have got to countdown to your birthday and sleep really late and wake up super early and survive on prolly 3 hours of sleep cause its your birthday and you only have 24 hours. So we had this impromptu thingy of a countdown which i spent hours on the internet googling for but obviously to no avail cause we ended up at an ice cream cafe (again).
This time, we decided to try something else other than Udders, Daily Scoop, etc, so we ended up at Ice Cube Cafe. They are prolly known for their mudpies but we ordered a couple of other desserts such as their apple crumble and crepes cause I was actually very hungry and I needed my dessert buffet so there you go.

We decided to go with the DIY crepe where you get to choose your crepe fillings, ice cream flavours and toppings as well. So Rowena decided to opt for peach fillings with almond flakes and strawberry ice cream while i added another additional scoop of chocolate ice cream cause its chocolate. The crepes were a so-so. I find it a little too fluffy. My personal preference for crepes are a little crunchier, not so much on the fluff but I really enjoyed our DIY crepe. The flavouring and all was great.
Then there was the mudpie. I ordered the Chocoholic Anonymous Mudpie and omg guys, no wonder they're best known for their mudpies. Its really really good! The mudpie i got was super chocolatey and you prolly need to drink alot alot of water because it gets a little sickening after awhile. I like how they topped it with Almond flakes and Ferrero Rocher-Like chocolates. Its not entirely like a chocolatey taste but its very nutella, hazelnut chocolate flavoured so I really like that about the mudpie. Its like a taste of heaven.
Lastly, the Apple Crumble. I think adding baked apple chips on the apple crumble was something pretty new to me. In a way, the apple chips somehow brought out the apple flavour and the entire apple crumble itself was very apple-ish tasting which was something I've not tasted in a long long time. I have no idea what ice cream they used for their Apple crumble but it definitely was not vanilla ice cream cause it tasted really unique as well but it goes super well with the apple crumble itself so it was delish.

If you're a super dessert person like me, do try out Ice Cube Cafe if you're out on one of your supper hunts. I would highly recommend their mudpies and apple crumble.
