EVL'S REVIEW: I can NEVER take Horror genre films well and if I could stand watching the entire show of Carrie, so can you.
Carrie features a typical super religious mother whom is very overprotective of her daughter that simply wants some freedom. Mean girls, the girl whose always bullied, cute hot popular jocks - typical American bitch club drama takes up majority of the running time so it wasn't all that scary to begin with.
The only horrible turn begins at probably the last 30 minutes of the film which is honestly super bearable. It wasn't scary but it was just a little gore. If you want to compare the extend of Carrie's horror to Paranormal Activity, The Last Exorcism, then there is simply nothing scary about Carrie at all. (I couldn't sleep after The Last Exorcism, it was HORRIBLE)

Julianne Moore (also from Crazy Stupid Love), portrayed the crazy religious mother really well. I've never seen her in a horror film before but her portrayal of her character was perfection. ChloĆ« Grace Moretz on the other hand portrayed Carrie better than I think she would. The Kick Ass actress definitely deserves a thumbs up for her role in Carrie.

I gave 'Carrie' a rating of 3/5 because of its storyline. However, the movie itself wasn't all that thrilling, neither was it all that scary. I wouldn't watch it again either because I felt that a lot of time were wasted in the beginning trying to build the plot up. Understand that it is necessary but I think its too much. Like what they always say: 'More action, Less talking. (*in italian accent)'

What do YOU think about 'Carrie'?
